A FEW THINGS TO ASK YOURSELF BEFORE BUYING AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE...
If you're looking to make the transition from a traditionally powered auto to a full electric car or crossover, you'll find it's a brand new world our there but you are NOT alone. Driving a battery-powered vehicle has many advantages, particularly lower operating and maintenance costs.
Although is true that the ownership experience is different than with a gas-fueled models, it definably helps the environment! So... whether you're looking to buy a new or a used electric car, you'll want to ask yourself some tough questions before making the switch to battery power such as:
IS THE RANGE SUFFICIENT? - HOW WILL I CHARGE THE VEHICLE? - SHOULD I LEASE OR BUY?

SHOULD I BUY A NEW EV OR A USED ONE?
Buying an electric car can be a costly endeavor, with most models priced arround $30,000 to over $100,000 for the top versions. Buying a new model assures you're getting full warranty and (depending on the model) the latest technology and longest operating range on each charge. With the exception of a few brands, you'll qualify for the full $7,500 federal tax credit and perhaps other incentives not granted to those buying used-EVs.
Obviously you can save considerable money by instead choosing a pre-owned model, including any of those listed on our website. With some exceptions, most notably the Tesla models, older EVs take a hit in terms of their resale values, due largely to the aforementioned tax credit combined with relatively lower demand. Though they won't necessarily have the operating range of some of the latest models, you can find four- or five-year-old EVs selling for much cheaper. What's more, given their range limitations, used EVs tend to be driven fewer miles than the norm, and thus typically endure less wear and tear than they normally would.
